KC Fringe Fest 2022 Reviews: The Glass Combat Re-Boot

Mallory on silks

The Glass Combat Re-Boot is full of current buzzwords, promising to show you a gender-inclusive pop punk fairytale told through aerial acrobatics. And that’s exactly what Circus Scorpius delivers. The show is filled with genuine love and care from all those involved, from behind the scenes to the performers themselves. This show uses fantastical goth-pop-inspired makeup and costumes, a perfectly curated soundtrack of modern music, and incredible feats of strength and grace to bring the audience an uplifting, both metaphorical and literal, fairytale which encourages everyone to love who they are. It’s the fairytale many, including this reviewer needed in their childhood and a show for all.”
